Mt. Olive is home to people of all ages and backgrouds who are committed to a growing relationship wih Jesus Crist. The main focus of Mt. Olive’s mission is to connect people to Christ.

Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church has been serving in the West Tampa community for over 100 years. We are a Bible-based, God-directed, Christ-centered, and Holy Spirit-led Church reaching, teaching and preaching the Word of God for all of God’s people.

If you need good gospel music and spiritual awakening, go visit. People welcome you with the love of Jesus and service was so focused on God, Bible and pastors kneel down and pray before service and we all kneeled for communion. I was reading just about Moses' veil as I am working on writing a book and sermon was on that today specifically, I felt very called to be there today. I really appreciated the experience overall
